Becoming a Supporter of the NSWRC means you are joining the people’s movement for reconciliation in NSW.
Individuals and organisations can become Supporters of the NSWRC, a non-partisan non-profit organisation, and make a real difference in reconciliation at a grassroots level.
| How will my money be used? |
Funds raised through the Supporters Program will support the activities of the NSWRC’s 60 Local Reconciliation Groups (LRGs) around NSW. For a list of the LRGs, [Click here].
| Past activities include: |
A ceremony to honour Indigenous war veterans at the ANZAC War Memorial in Sydney’s Hyde Park, in cooperation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans and Services Association; RSL NSW Branch; and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
A Wiradjuri cultural bus tour of Wagga Wagga, taking in areas of cultural and historical significance for the Wiradjuri people, which contributed to breaking down barriers between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the region.
A national youth forum and arts showcase at the University of Technology, Sydney, including an address by Adam Hill, an urban Koori artist, and an exhibition by Jessica Birk, an Aboriginal artist from Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
A commemorative event at the Sydney Town Hall recognising Indigenous activists who launched a campaign over 50 years ago to change discriminatory clauses in the Australian Constitution leading to the 1967 Referendum.
A panel discussion on indigenous reflections on the 1967 Referendum at the NSW State Library, with guests speakers Professor Mick Dodson AM, Director of ANU’s National Centre for Indigenous Studies, and Dr Jackie Higgins, former chair of Reconciliation Australia.
A healing dance performed by local school children along the lagoon in ANZAC Park in Kyogle, a place of cultural significance to the Bundjalung people.
A photographic exhibition, ‘Coming Together’, on 100 years of Aboriginal people, government policies and culture on the South Coast, a part of the River of Art Festival in Moruya.

Your donation as a Supporter helps us fund even more events, community education programs and arts projects in your local area.
